Does it hurt?

How many treatments do i need?
With any advanced skin treatment, a series of treatments is recommended for long lasting, visible results. It will always depend on your unique skin and goals, but generally, a series of 3 – 6 Microneedling treatments is recommended, having them every 4 – 6 weeks.

How much downtime is there?
There’s no significant downtime with this minimally invasive procedure. You may experience some mild redness and irritation for 2 – 3 days after Microneedling, but this will subside quickly. Can’t i just use an ‘at home’ roller for the same effect? At-home Microneedling tools may consist of either a stamp studded with tiny metal spikes of different lengths or a roller (for “Dermarolling”.) Here’s what to expect during a Pro Microneedling treatment

Procedure
1. Consultation: Safety and suitability of treatment is reassessed, and photos of your skin taken.

After Care

Most people require little down time if any. You may see redness for a few days after the procedure which is a natural response. Before the Pro Power Peel is applied

MA consultation is obligatory as also a patch test. A test of the peels to be used has to be tested at least 24 hours before treatment. The skin is analysed to make sure it is in a good condition to be treated because if not, the client would have to prepare the skin using home use products or have a Proskin 60 to remove any comedones present.

How a Chemical Peel Works

Proper post-peel skin care

Whether you’re using an at-home peel or getting a professional peel, you can minimize your skin’s downtime afterward by practicing these expert tips:

Wash your face with cool water. Warm or hot water might not feel as good as cool or cold water, which can help soothe post-peel sensations.

Moisturize and hydrate. Since peels can temporarily compromise your skin’s protective barrier, it’s important to reinforce that barrier with a medium-to-thick moisturizer. Also, drink more water to help avoid dehydration, which could make your skin feel tight.

Apply sunscreen with SPF30 or more. Your skin is more delicate after a peel, so avoid direct sun exposure, which can lead to even more visible signs of skin aging. If you must be exposed, use a Broad Spectrum physical sunscreen.

Avoid strenuous workouts, dry saunas and steam rooms. Increased blood circulation to the face can intensify warming, tingling, itching, redness or other uncomfortable side effects on freshly peeled skin. Skip such activities on the day you use a peel.

Don’t over-exfoliate. Peels are maximum-strength exfoliants, so you don’t need to use a separate exfoliant (like a scrub, brush or exfoliating cleanser) within 3-4 days of your peel. Over-exfoliating can lead to more redness or sensitivity, so wait until your skin feels up to it.

Aftercare products recommended on the night of the Peel. Rinse face with cool water and cleanse with Ultra Calming Cleanser, moisturise with Barrier Defense Booster and Calm Water Gel. You will find that you will want to moisturise more frequently as the days go on because the skin will feel dryer and possible flaking may occur.
